Renewable energy is described as the energy that can be derived from something that will be replaced continually. Two illustrations of this can be wind and solar power. To power these renewable energy systems, devices such as Wind Turbines and solar PV panels are essential.
At present time, fossil fuels like Coal, oil and natural gas are the worldwide sources for our energy demands. Fossil fuels are Non-renewable Resources. We only have a limited supply of it on our planet which can pose a problem when it will be depleted eventually. Additionally, fossil fuels contribute to global warming since it is infamous in releasing toxic greenhouse gases.
Having access to Renewable Energy Sources could be an a main factor in resolving the environmental crises we face at present. Ways on how to reduce or even eliminate the causes of our carbon footprint on the planet are being actively sought out. To provide energy, many countries have started to introduce wind turbines and solar panel systems.
Wind Energy
People from long ago started using mechanical means like windmills to pump water from water sources and even crush grains. The propellers of wind turbines are moved by huge gusts of wind enabling the turbines to generate Electricity substantial enough to power small towns. Ideal places to put these wind turbines on would be in coastal areas, hill tops and open fields since the winds in these areas are possibly strong. wind turbines such as coastal areas, atop hills and on open fields.
Places that have wind farms can also offer electricity to national electric grids in order to add to the existing power supply from electric companies. Wind turbines is usually not used in small-scale settings, unlike solar PV panels used for homes, because of its size.
Since ancient times, the sun was used to provide the heat required to sustain life on earth. Only until recently has its complete potential been realized. Electricity may be provided to small household through a solar panel. Solar PV or solar Photovoltaic specializes in using the sun’s rays and converts it into renewable electricity.
To save on electric bills, more people have started using solar PV panels in their homes and offices. Solar energy does not release harmful greenhouse gases that is likeable to people who aim to start living a greener lifestyle.
